Hello:
This dot math was from my first version in 1966. I found that this did damage to children’s ability to do math. If you love your child do not put the dots on top of the number symbols. You can get free dot math charts from the DotMath for kids web site. The DotMath for kids charts have been designed in a way that your child will not get stuck on the dots. When the dots are on top of the number the child learns the symbol that way and will not be able to break the bond between the dot and the numeral. This will hurt your child’s ability to do math in higher grades. If you want I can give you many samples of people who have done this and when young. Now they are older they are stuck on counting dots that slow them down. They are angry that they were taught this and look to me for help to recover from the dots on top of the number.
