Wk. 22 bump update!

How I’m Feeling:
The back pain is starting to take effect. I tried the body pillow last night but woke up with it on the floor. Oh well. I know I will get good use out of it for this pregnancy as well – despite how much the hubs hates it. When he came home from his trip & saw it in the room, his exact words were, “Ugh, I hate that thing!” ha ha

My lovely little children decided to pass their cold to me this weekend. So, not only do I have the awesome allergies but I get the cold on top of it. It’s quite fantastic, let me just tell you. Thankfully it’s not too bad and seems to be getting better – but maybe that’s just my positive thinking because as I type this I keep trying to suck air in through my nose and it’s completely unsuccessful.

I’m starting to think this pregnancy has been going on forever! I’m over half way done so that’s brilliant, but I feel like I still have forever to go. I mean, don’t get me wrong, now that the morning sickness is gone & I don’t have heartburn on a daily basis like I did previously, things are going quite well and I don’t have much to complain about – but still. It feels like I’ve been pregnant for a long time & have a long time to go.

I’m also getting the lovely braxton hicks lately. Lordy, you forget how much they take your breathe away! I’m just glad they are “fake” contractions & not real ones. This little one needs to cook for a bit longer – preferably just another 16 wks…

Baby Movement:
Baby movement has gone from kicks & jabs to all around movement. You know, the one where you can feel the foot/arm/elbow/knee move from one side of your belly to the other. Or how about when you have a massive bulge on one side of your belly because their little butt is pushing against your insides making it hard for you to breathe.

Weight Gain:
I started at 127 before I got pregnant – but was trying to get down to 125. So I consider my “goal” weight to be my “start” weight so that I can judge what I’m gaining based off of where I want to be afterwards.
8 week appointment: 129 lbs
17 week appointment: 134 lbs
18 weeks: 135.6 lbs
19 weeks: 136.2 lbs
20 weeks: 137.4 lbs
21 weeks: 137.8 lbs
22 weeks 139.2 lbs
Total: 14.2 lbs

I gained about 1.5lbs this week. I’m not really sure how except for maybe the fact I’ve been having more carbs and less veggies. I need to get back on the veggies for lunch train because at this rate I’ll be massive by my due date. Lord have mercythis whole weight issue is by far my worst enemy when it comes to pregnancy. I absolutely hate it. {and yes, i DO know that it’s normal to gain this amount of weight – but I most definitely don’t have to be happy about it}

Cravings:
No real cravings except for these spinach/mozzarella/feta filled crescent rolls. I made them, ate about 3 of them and then was done. And you know, when I was making them & eating them – it wasn’t even that great. Stupid. This pregnancy has been terrible as far as my eating goes. Nothing sounds fantastic. I just eat bc I need to eat. That Corn Dip was the only thing that really did me in & now it’s not even appealing to me anymore. Boo.

Mood Swings:
Not really, just annoyed with people but I think that’s just normal for me. ha ha. Terrible I know.
