Hi Momma Bird friends!
I hand-paint typography word art signs to decorate you life!
These ladies {and one gentleman} are simply inspiring and amazing.
And I have a very special treat for one of you, too!!

Gussy Sews
Maggie is the real deal. She has a darling shop full of ruffles and color and spunk and joy. And she is a wealth of knowledge about how to develop, start and grow a flourishing business. And she openly shares her knowledge with all that will listen. If you own a shop or are thinking about opening one and you haven’t been listening, you are missing out. She is a lovely person and a true inspiration. And she is about to become a Momma! Eeeek!!

The Orange Bird
Birdie and DW started The Orange Bird to help others. Their mission: To “think outside the nest” and show God’s love to others by using our God given creativity to make and sell things in order to generate profits to support organizations and individuals who are serving those in need around the world. Amazing, right? They make all of the products that they offer by hand. They pour their love, creativity and talent into each piece they create. Their products are wonderful and original and meaningful and fun, just like Birdie and DW. And they are both amazing Momma’s! Visit their shop and see for yourself!

Indo Bay
“Heart-crafted” textiles & goods that embrace the imperfect and invite you to live SIMPLY, live LOVELY. Tania’s mission:
“…to create lifestyle goods that are modern in design yet serve as a lovely, gentle reminder of a slower more thoughtful way of life.”
And Tania does just that. Her shop is full of love and whimsy. It’s magical and simple and heartfelt and lovely. And her story is brutiful (see the story behind this here) and inspiring and she is someone that I look up to and admire. Visit her shop and I’m sure you’ll feel right at home, too.

Slide Sideways
A husband and wife team are the creative genius behind Slide Sideways. Jacqui and Scott design, screen print, sew, photograph and package each and every item in their beautiful shop. They were recently featured in the September issue of Country Living. I just love it when great things happen to deserving people. Their products are organic and earthy and unique and fun. And if you snap up a few of there yummy produce bags, you’ll be sharing their shop with everyone in the grocery store as you fill them up and they are ooh-ing and awe-ing over them.

Girls Day Out
Amy is a beautiful momma with a beautiful heart. She designs each piece of jewelry and clothing herself and creates each piece by hand. She has great style and an amazing eye for color and texture. Her shop is full of beautiful pieces and captivating color. After years of being friends on line through our businesses, I recently got to meet Amy and one of her daughters at the Charlottesville City Market. It was such a treat to see so many of her beautiful pieces first hand! But the real treat was hearing her tell stories of the wonderful people she has gotten to know through her 8 years of doing business at the market each Saturday.

Sharon Krug Signature Jewelry
My oldest brother tormented me for most of my childhood. But the day he married his wife, he blessed me with a wonderful sister. Sharon is the momma of 4 beautiful children (5 if you count my brother, which on most days, we do!) I have no idea when she finds the time to hand craft her jewelry, but I’m glad that she does! She has great attention to detail and truly loves creating colorful and unique pieces to reflect your style and mood. She is adding pieces to her collection daily and it’s fun to watch her creativity shine through.

A Blue Whisper Camera Strap Slipcover from Gussy Sews.
An Owl Wallet from The Orange Bird.
A Simple List Tea Towel from Indo Bay.
An Apple Produce Bar from Slide Sideways.
