All payments are made through PayPal. PayPal accepts all major credit cards and checks. By submitting payment to The Momma Bird, you are agreeing to these Terms of Design.
DEPOSITS & WAIT LIST:
Customized Blog Design:
In order to place yourself on my wait list you will need to pay a 50% deposit. If you cancel your design with me more than 30 days before your start date, you will be refunded 50% of your deposit. If you cancel your design within 30 days or less, you will lose your deposit in FULL. If you cancel your design process after the start date, you will lose your deposit in FULL. Final payment is due 2 days prior to your site going “live.” If payment is not received, your site will go to the bottom of my wait list.
All Other Services:
Payment due in full in order to be placed on my wait list.
REFUNDS:
Due to the nature of design work, The Momma Bird does not offer any refunds of any kind.
AUTHORIZATION:
All clients agree to provide The Momma Bird with access to all hosting, blog dashboards, photo hosting sites for the sole purpose of installing the design and making necessary changes and adjustments.
In order for your design process to go smoothly and quickly communication is key. Once your start date arrives expect communication to be daily. Your blog will have a test site that you will have access to. You will be able to watch the design process unfold on your test site. If you want something done or changed, you can comment on the test post on your site. This is the most effective way to communicate your ideas to me while I get it set up.
If communication is not made within 7 business days of me trying to contact you, your site will be canceled and all monies will be forfeited to The Momma Bird without notification.
The Momma Bird owns all copyrights until final payment is received. Once payment is received The Momma Bird owns the design content, the client does not own the design. The client owns the website content. Clients may not transfer any portion of the design, code or elements to another blog or website unless arrangements have been made with The Momma Bird prior the design process start date. If the client does not own the WordPress theme, when a blog change is done the theme must be removed in its entirety.
If the client wishes to remove part of the design, permission must be granted by The Momma Bird. Any design element that has been purchased by the client must have a commercial license or photography copyrights. The client is responsible for complying with the law not The Momma Bird. Graphics and design work should not be used for any other purpose except for your blog design. Any use for these graphics outside of what was agreed upon must be approved by The Momma Bird.
The Momma Bird will place a credit in the footer of your theme. The Momma Bird reserves the right to display or not display an image of your completed website in our portfolio.
All WordPress blog designs will be completed on the Genesis Framework created by StudioPress and/or a child theme of your choice.
Once your deposit is complete you will be placed on the wait list. My Wait List is updated daily so you can check the progress at your discretion. Once you have moved off the wait list the design process beings. During this time it is essential that you are available to approve designs. This ensures the design process goes smoothly & quickly. Once all design elements are finalized by you, the client, the final payment will be due. Final payment is due 2 days prior to installation. After installation, you will have an online training session, if necessary.
Typical customized blogs take about 4 weeks from start to finish. The Momma Bird will update you on your status throughout the process.
Clients are given an initial 1-3 design choices once the design process has begun. After a design choice is chosen, clients have up to 3 additional revisions. Any changes made after the final design concept is chose the client will be charged $45 per hour.
Clients that choose a self-hosted WordPress site are expected to pay for their own hosting and domain.
The Momma Bird abides by all commercial licenses. The client is responsible to obtain these rights if an image or graphic is desired to be placed on their blog.
The Momma Bird reserves the right to accept and decline potential clients.
Clients are responsible for making sure their browser is up-to-date. The Momma Bird does not guarantee that your site will work properly on a browser that is out of date.
The Momma Bird is not responsible for your blog to be successful. Clients are responsible for their site to grow.
